This series of digital and film photographs embodies the journey of growth and self-evolution through my eyes. The series shows expression in being comfortable in your own skin and being ones true self. Learning to love ones self, forgive ones self and continue to grow is made up of many conscious thoughts and actions which result in change and is not something that happens overnight.

Portraying my inner thoughts and feelings about my healing journey from trauma, mental health and life in general. Through photographyI portray the light and dark of life through the lighting techniques. The imagery expresses and evokes emotion, vulnerability and pushing through fear of judgment. This was portrayed through the nudest photography and using the naked body as a form of self expression, acceptance, self love and confidence.

My sister Tonya is the subject through this collection. It is symbolic because she is my best friend and we are very connected, sharing a room growing up and a lifetime of memories. Due to the theme being personal, it made sense to reflect myself through Tonya. The theme of sisterhood also shines through the series.
